Pre-searing - Where you start the game off. The land is all green and pretty, sun shines everywhere.
Post Sear - Where the real game starts and where -Sir Bertran- is. The area is generally darker and more...evil if you may. If you ARE in pre sear, after you do the battle with 4 other random people you make it to Post! hurray! |

This is interesting
I remember when I had this problem... I read up on the stuff before playing the game and thought the pre-searing was the real thing Have fun buddy. |

you start in 'presear'.
it's very small compared to 'postsear' and you will be anywhere from 2nd to 6th level when you transition. when you pick a secondary class and complete the primary quest in your log[L], some guy will ask if you're ready to move on (you can't go back). then you will move on to post and actually begin the game. the terms 'presear' and 'postsear' are derived from the main storyline. edit: I need to learn how to type faster. edit ps: and I will buy your black dyes --- 3 for 10 gp. It doesn't take very long... you just run through with Prince Rurik, take out some Grawl, and eventually the Charr you saw running around before. It takes like 15-20 minutes, if that. And somehow, I'm thinking it's less. Haven't done it in a long time, though.

how long in real time?
I don't remember it all that well. basically, you need to pick a secondary class ---- that's what my big holdup was. then, I think they run you through a little random pvp arena to try and forcefeed you some pvp --snowball arena was a much better idea. although, it should have had dp..... I think that's about it --- and maybe what that other guy mentioned ^^ |
